Who We Are

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in compassion and community.
At Happy Camper Dog Rescue, we believe every dog deserves a second chance.
Our mission is to save lives and show the world that rescue dogs make the most loyal companions.
Together, we’re creating a future where every dog is seen, valued, and loved.

Our Mission

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned and homeless dogs and puppies, providing them with a safe haven, compassionate care, and the love they deserve. We are dedicated to promoting animal welfare through education, advocacy, and community outreach, inspiring a culture of compassion and responsible pet ownership. By connecting dogs with loving families, we strive to create a brighter future for every furry friend in our care and work tirelessly to end the cycle of neglect and abandonment.

With the help of an amazing team and community, we’re creating a world where every dog is safe, loved, and finally home.

Rooted in Sacramento, rescuing dogs throughout California.

Brittany Davis and Ashley Borges

Hi, We’re Brittany and Ashley, the founders of Happy Camper Dog Rescue.
What began as a small dream — to give dogs a second chance and help them find loving homes — has grown into a passionate mission rooted in community, compassion, and connection.

At Happy Camper, we believe every dog deserves to feel safe, loved, and ready for adventure. Our rescue is built on the simple idea that a fresh start and a happy heart can change a life — both theirs and ours.

With each dog we welcome and each adoption day we celebrate, we’re reminded why we started: to create a space where hope is always possible, and dogs can find healing.

Thank you for being part of the journey. We can't wait to help you find your forever companion.
